35-yr lease granted for first US deep ocean aquaculture site

The Board of Land and Natural Resources of the State of Hawaii granted an application from Hawaii Oceanic Technology for a 35-year lease on the company’s 247-acre deep open ocean aquaculture site, permitted by the same board in October 2009.
