Canada invests $38 million in seafood sector

The Government of Canada and the Province of New Brunswick have announced CAD 38 million in funding for the Canadian fisheries and seafood sector, focusing on innovation, infrastructure and sustainability.

This investment, given through the Atlantic Fisheries Fund (AFF), supports 72 projects aimed at modernizing operations across aquaculture, processing, and harvesting industries in New Brunswick. The funding emphasizes sustainable practices and new technologies to meet the demands of an evolving seafood market.
