Brussels opens CFP public consultation

The European Commission has launched a public consultation to gather feedback on the effectiveness of the Common Fisheries Policy Regulation

Building on the initial call for evidence, which garnered 87 responses in June 2024, this consultation represents the next phase in evaluating how the CFP Regulation has been performing and whether it has met its goals.

The evaluation will focus on the policy’s impact on marine biological conservation, fisheries management and the fleets dependent on them.
