MMO decides to temporarily pause I-VMS roll-out after devices fail tests

Fishers will continue to be supported following the outcome of independent testing on inshore vessel monitoring systems (I-VMS) devices, the UK’s Marine Management Organisation (MMO) has confirmed. The public body has also moved to assure the sector that upcoming legislation is on pause and will only come into effect once the equipment roll-out is fully completed.
