JouBeh Technologies Inc. has announced that it has met requirements for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada’s (DFO) Vessel Monitoring Systems (VMS) following successful sea trials of DFO’s Hardware Approval Process.
iTrac makes use of combining Iridium’s 9601 short-burst data (SBD) transceiver and the Global Positioning System (GPS). iTrac was conceived and designed by MetOcean Data Systems and provides managers, mariners and vessel operators with the latest in cost-effective satellite tracking and locating technologies packaged for the toughest ocean environmental conditions. MetOcean will be responsible for manufacturing iTrac as well as providing life cycle engineering support and continued product R&D.
