200 mílur ath the news site mbl.is is a comprehensive news and information provider for everything related to the fishing- and maritime industry in Iceland.
Today, the website is one of the most widely read news outlets covering the fishing industry, aquaculture, shipping industry and other ocean-related activities in Iceland. The website was launched September 28th 2016 and replaced the Sax fisheries website, which had been operated since 2008.
At 200 mílur you can find a vessel and fishing register, port register, quota and catch figures, location of vessels and service register for the fisheries sector. In addition to coverage on the mbl.is website, 200 mílur publishes about 6 special issues a year which are distributed with Morgunblaðið, Iceland´s most prominent newspaper. Fishing- and maritime issues are also covered in Morgunblaðið every week under the banner of 200 mílur.
