The Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition and Awards returned to Kópavogur (just outside Reykjavik, Iceland) on 18-20 September 2024.

Since its inception in 1984, IceFish has become a leading event in its field, and anyone who needs to keep up with the latest and greatest in technology and development has immeasurable benefits from attending. Exhibiting companies showcase the latest developments in technology, products, and services, and visitors can rely on the exhibition to offer the very best in the fisheries, processing, and aquaculture industries at any given time, both in Iceland and abroad.

Celebrating 40 years since its inception, IceFish 2024 was a landmark occasion as the 14th event in the series and it wrapped up with unprecedented success; celebrating a 12,387 visitor attendance from a record breaking 60 different countries. This year’s exhibition marked a triumphant return to pre-COVID visitor numbers, solidifying IceFish’s place as the global hub for the fishing industry and highlighting the continued vibrancy of Iceland’s fisheries sector.

The Icelandic Fisheries Exhibition, is much more than just an exhibition, and boasts tandem events such as the popular Fishwaste for Profit Conference, matchmaking meetings onsite during the show, and the Icelandic Fisheries Awards which recognises excellence in the Icelandic and Global fishing, aquaculture and seafood sectors.

Inward missions were co-ordinated in conjunction with the exhibiting companies and several embassies hosted receptions during the show days.

The IceFish exhibition covers every aspect of the commercial fishing, processing and aquaculture sectors, and is rapidly expanding into the value added and byproduct areas.
