The Aurora Abalone farm is located in Grindavík (close to the Blue Lagoon) and uses the same source of geothermal energy as the Blue Lagoon. The Aurora Abalone are farmed in crystal clear, naturally lava-filtered seawater pumped from the ground right next to the farm; between the Atlantic Ocean, active volcanoes, and geothermal areas.
