Petra Weigl, the Managing Director of Regal Springs Europe, also works as the Global Head of the Natural Additions Division, where she oversees all by-product sales within their 100% Fish utilisation strategies, ensuring every part of their tilapia is put to valuable use!
Petra’s career began in a fishery research institute followed by significant positions as quality manager and NPF manager at one of Germany’s largest private label fish producers. She also served as Channel Director Discount for Nomad Foods’ branded discount business.
With her extensive background and expertise, Petra is a key leader at Regal Springs for driving innovation and sustainability in the white fish aquaculture industry.
She will be joining Stefán Þór Eysteinsson Ph.D, Research Group Leader, Matis, Cem Giray, CEO and President, Salmonics LLC, and Rune Frostad, CEO, Pretio to discuss emerging 100% fish Value Chains/Opportunities. Moderated by Alexandra Leeper PhD, Managing Director - International, Iceland Ocean Cluster, this session will cover the emerging opportunities linked closely to partnerships in the circular economy and opportunities that connect land and sea.
