With one set of electronics for all three frequencies of transducers (Domes) MAQ Sonar’s plug in design is easy to Install, Maintain and Service. Captains have helped install their own systems. This also allows easy upgrades to lower frequency longer range transducers.


The 5° VBW (Vertical Beam Width) advantage in shallow water means longer range and closer near surface detection.

How does it work?

Good Bottom (sand or gravel)


MAQ 5° VBW = 20m detection for each meter of water depth.

10° VBW = 10m detection for each meter of water depth.

30m water depth 5° VBW = 600m detection distance.

30m 10° VBW = 300m detection distance.
