The company has been manufacturing trawl doors at its factory on the west coast of Denmark for more than half a century, and has steadfastly refused to relocate production to cheaper parts of the world.
"These days we hear a lot about products coming from the Far East or built in countries where labour is cheaper. But we have always said that we believe in experience, craftsmanship and communication, and we are aware more than ever that choosing high quality products and materials always pays off," said the company's Henrik Andreassen, one of those who regularly man the stands at exhibitions.
Thyborøn Trawldoor will be back at IceFish this year and have taken part in the exhibition right from the outset.
"The IceFish show is very important to us because like in other areas of the Nordic region, fishing in Iceland expects the latest technology and they want efficient gear. So for us it's a great place to work with fishermen – contributing to helping them improve their fisheries while also building our knowledge and expertise," he said.
The team at Thyborøn Trawldoor have a huge amount of faith in the personal touch and take pains to ensure that they are available for their customers around the clock, every day of the year.
"We're there 24/7 with instructions or help, or whatever they need," Henrik Andreassen said.
"Because we have a strong belief in direct contact with our customers around the world, participating in exhibitions is important to us as these are a key opportunity to meet skippers face-to-face – and IceFish is important to us as that's where we get to meet the Icelandic skippers."
