Over the years its business has spread from its origins in agriculture to the wider manufacturing and industrial sectors, while Landvélar's core activities remain service and consultancy for pneumatic and hydraulic fluid-driven, high and low pressure transmission and control systems, as well as consultancy and advice for the provision of tools, welding and other equipment for professionals and machine workshops.
Landvélar also represents a number of respected manufacturers on the Icelandic market, including big names such as Bosch Rexroth, Parker, SKF, Dunlop Hiflex, Hansa Flex, Merlett, Kemppi, Elga and ABUS, and IceFish is a valuable opportunity to show their products to Icelandic customers.
“IceFish is an event we feel we need to be part of,” Managing director Ingvar Bjarnason said. “We see our customers from all parts of the country there as everyone goes to this exhibition. There's are good reasons it's referred to as ‘the' exhibition.”
He commented that Landvélar sees IceFish as both a commercial fishing and a seafood industry related event, and it attracts companies and individuals from across a broad spectrum of Iceland's business life.
“It's has become an industrial exhibition that attracts emerging companies, machine shops and engineering companies from all over Iceland, and for us it's also the ideal place to introduce innovations to our customers,” he said.
