2021 promises to be no exception and the Danish pavilion is set to bring a significant group of Danish companies to IceFish, and the Danish presence will be characterised by the wide breadth of technology, solutions and competences offered to these industries by Danish companies.
In addition to the traditional suppliers of fishing gear and hardware to the fisheries industry, the group of Danish companies is a highly diversified group which also represents solutions to meet needs of fish processing and aquaculture sectors.
"Fisheries and aquaculture has been quite separate and distinct target sectors in the past, but we are seeing companies moving towards being able to supply specialised equipment and services to both sectors," said the Danish Export Association's Head of Fish Tech Martin Winkel Lilleøre.
"We're seeing the scope being extended and together with the traditional innovative approach of Danish companies and the willingness among Danish companies to collaborate and share knowledge, this is assuring a strong position for Danish suppliers to these industries. Danish companies have achieved great success as suppliers to the international fisheries and related fish processing sectors, and we increasingly see the same tendency within aquaculture – and there's a lot of interest in the aquaculture sector for Danish solutions."
