Founded in 2016 in Istanbul, Turkey, and currently managed by Hüseyin Şanli (former General Manager of Cemre Shipyard), Etkin Marine and the company’s team of highly-skilled engineers, are responsible for the delivery of a wide variety of different fishing and service vessels.
Particularly focusing on craft measuring under 50 metres, the firm’s most recent newbuilds also include mussel harvesting and fish farm cleaning service vessels.
Sister vessels Ocean Athena and Ocean Apollo, which were successfully built and delivered to the Shetland Islands in June 2022 for Ocean Farm Services Ltd.
These were followed by the 19.9-metre pair of mussel harvest vessels NB1004 Fruitful Bough and NB1005 Fruitful Harvest that were delivered on-time in November last year to Blue Shell Mussels Ltd. Designed by Macduff Ship Design Ltd, these mussel boats were built by Skagen Ship Consulting at Etkin Marin.
Next for delivery will be the 14.9-metre Logan L fish farm support and cleaning vessel for Cooke Aquaculture Scotland, which recently completed all of its sea trials.
Work is also well underway on two 18.5-metre steel support vessels for aquaculture company Mowi Scotland. Skagen Ship Consulting AS and Macduff Ship Design were selected main contractor and designer for these landing craft service vessels, with the construction taking place at Etkin Marin’s Istanbul yard. Delivery is planned for August 2024.
